What’s the “Unauthorized History of AMG” presented by the Patina Collective? It encompasses some of the most radical vehicles to come from AMG, and you can see it in-person in Lauderdale Lakes, Florida, this weekend (May 3-5).

The museum will display more than 40 significant examples from AMG. Here’s a sampling from that standout crowd.

500 SEC 6.0 AMG Hammer Widebody–AMG Affalterbach–1986
What was AMG’s answer for ultimate performance? The iconic Hammer. This example carries less than 5000km.

The Red Pig–1971

Soon after AMG opened its shop in 1969, it debuted in racing at the 24 Hours of Spa with a 300 SEL dubbed “The Red Pig,” where it finished the second. While the original has been lost, this is a replica of the legendary car.

SLC AMG “Mampe”–1978

A win in 1980 at the Nürburgring launched this car into the spotlight. The Mampe car takes its name after the signature cocktail Lufthansa that’s served in first class. The Patina Collective said, “During the final race in 1980, the car was so far ahead of the pack that the drivers pulled over with a few laps to spare to order their favorite brand of champagne.”

You can find “The Unauthorized History of AMG” presented by the Patina Collective at the collection’s museum at 4711 N. State Road 7, Lauderdale Lakes, Florida. It’s open from 10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Friday, May 3, to Saturday, May 4. On Sunday, May 5, it’s open from 12 noon to 4:30 p.m. Tickets, which cost $20 apiece, are by appointment only.
