Is that an Eldorado front half? If it's what I think it is, that thing has the 500 cubic-inch Caddy V8 under the hood and would actually make a pretty damn good tow vehicle...

This is the same guy who used to haul a Noble to the track on the back of this. I thought that was a really cool tow car/track car combo.

That thing is super clean. And a manual swap. I could see the right person paying close to his asking price for it.

The '49 Ford on a Turbo Bird is more believable and easier on the eyes, couldn't find on for sale though.

Not totally certain if this really counts as a delusional post, but I couldn't not say anything about it either... because it appears the seller is either very clueless or very deceptive and hoping they find a clueless buyer.

2002 Prius- $500 As-is

2002 Toyota Prius being sold AS IS No title on hand as I left it back in Boston and am unexpectedly traveling long term without my vehicle very soon. I have a photo of the title and copy of registration as proof of ownership. Will be able to get title within the week. Car needs a new starter, a good vacuuming and some TLC. Car also comes with All-Weather mats. High mileage but car seems to go on forever. Great for a first car or a short term. This vehicle has been amazing to me, after this experience I would definitely recommend Prius' to anyone.

So, beyond the obvious concern about the title, the important part is what I've bolded in the description because it's something that those who don't know how a Prius works very well might overlook. The Prius does not, in the traditional sense, have a starter. Since it's a hybrid and has an electric motor capable of propelling the car entirely on its own, they were relatively smart in designing it and just use the electric motor to start the internal-combustion engine instead of putting a dedicated starter on it.

Sooooo, in other words- whether they know it and are trying to be sneaky or don't and are clueless, I would guess that there's a major problem with the hybrid drive system.

(if it had the title here though it would still be tempting though )

Idiot Seller said: Classic 2nd gen Firebird with a 3spd Automatic turbo 400 transmission and only 51K original miles on the chassis. This Bird has a recently installed 1970 Buick 455 engine from an Electra, depicted. The engine has the original smog free carb from the last year of production before all the power robbing regulations came into play. Also, equipped with an aftermarket steering wheel. Interior is in good condition. Paint was primed, but then previous owner rattle canned it. Make it your own color of choice. Body is straight, even the undercarriage. Mufflers and pipes are in great condition. Nice modern CD radio and four speakers sound great! If I get the bird painted, or put any other substantial investment into it, that will alter the bottom line price. Sorry but this isn't a late model rapidly depreciating car. Collectors know the less it needs the more you're going to pay. Keep this in mind when you balance price vs. what you can do yourself. I have $5617.19 in documented receipts of all repairs already done on this car since I bought it. Plus another $330 spent that I lost the receipts for. Yes you guessed it, I'm losing money if I sell it for less than $8947.19. If I don't sell it I'm keeping it. No problem.
This guy has been trying to sell this flat green Turd Bird on local CL and Facebook groups for over a year now. He thinks that his 1981 BASE Firebird is worth all the money, as if it was a 1977 black and gold Trans Am. Sorry dude, just because you swapped in some greaseball Buick 455 in it doesn't make it a "classic". This thing is a parts car or $2000 beater AT BEST, no matter how much money you wasted on it. And whenever he posts it up, people try to tell him this, and he freaks out. Crapball car? Check. Delusional price based on Barrett-Jackson auction results for models with actual value? Check. Defensive, yet aggressive 'tude? Check. I have a feeling that he'll be "Keeping it. No problem." for a LOOOOOOOOOOOONG time.

Our hero with the flat green Firebird is now up to $10,500. Usually when cars sit and don't sell, you cut the price. Not this guy!

Why, you may ask? Here's why: he went back in time, infiltrated his way into GM's Buick Division, and talked the execs into slipping exactly one "Stage 1" 455 into a 1970 Electra so he could harvest it later in life and dump it into this rat. That's right, he's calling this barge mover a "Stage 1" Buick 455 now.

And with that moniker comes a hefty price increase, and that's largely due to him messing with our timeline. "I have well over $13K invested into this car" means that he spent exactly $4052.81 on time travel expenses. Quite the bargain if you ask me.

You have to just read the ad.
