Having something resembling a plan should keep you enjoying the cars and out of traffic. Here’s our guide to Monterey, presented by Passport Transport.

Dress: Bring a sweater. It may get a little chilly that evening.
Info: The venue for our annual kickoff party has a new name, but it’s the same location. Join the staffs from Classic Motorsports, Hagerty, On the Road Again Classics, Reliable Carriers, XKs Unlimited and Vredestein Tires for a relaxing evening.

Info: Want to see the Pebble Beach cars for free? Then check out the Pebble Beach Tour d’Elegance. At 8:00 a.m. on Thursday, the show cars leave Pebble Beach’s Collins Field for a lap around Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. From noon until 2:00, they can be viewed in downtown Carmel-by-the-Sea.

This year the Rolex is celebrating 50 years of the Shelby GT350 Mustang. Race groups will also feature Trans-Am, Formula 1, and IMSA cars as well as all of the usual food groups.
