The soonest I could go would be Friday but it would be a 7 hour round trip just to look at it.
The bid price has been the same since it had 9 days left.
OOhh, these are actualy good cars, must not look, I don't need another no parts available in the US car like the GTX, keep to my original list.
The more I think about it the more tempted I am to just click buy it now and go pick it up Saturday.
i don't understand how the bidding could get so close to the buy it now. the high bidder can't shell out like $100 more to make sure they own the car? i guess the high bid could be a shill bid or the bidder doesn't have the instant $500 deposit
Poking around the 505turbo forum I found the previous owner of the car. He is actually the guy I was going to buy the 505 from a few years ago before he backed out.
He posted some pictures of when he bought it before it was painted and it looked solid and rust-free, just faded.
He also mentioned the ABS not working and it being a bit difficult on cold starts. For the $1150 though it is still cheap enough to take a chance on.
Pictures from before it was painted:

Does the use of that particular smiley mean that YOU ended the auction?
I might still have the Sport Compact Car where they did an article on the thing.
Hey Evan,
If you lose interest or decide to sell for other reasons, could I request first right of refusal? I've ALWAYS wanted one. Also, if you like Saab 9000s or Alfa Spiders we might be able to work something out if you can throw cash in
You'll need to log in to post.
