where are you located? you want an e30? e36?
WOOT! I just negotiated $100 for a set of 328is 16" Alloy wheels with near-new Hankook RS-2's mounted on them!

Negotiated huh... at gunpoint? ;p
nah, he got rid of his car and he had them up on craigslist for $200, didn't list what tires were on them, and I happen to be 30 minutes from him this week (on vacation with parents), so I asked him what tires were on them, he sent me a pic... 225/50/16 RS-2's with a good amount of tread left...
I offered $100 picked up saturday and he obliged. :)
Getting lucky on this one!

I live in Gainesville, so I have Talahaseee, Jacksonville, Orlando, Tampa/St Pete, Valdosta, Daytona within reasonable searching range.
I am looking for an E36 and would rather not get a 318 due to the trailing arm rear suspension. I already have one on my Supra and don't think its too hot of a design, plus I think most of the aftermarket stuff is centered around the multilink suspension.
The one in Gainesville was a wild goose chase, person at the phone number listed led me to a dealer that supposedly has it now. I don't like dealing with dealerships, so I gave up. I may explore it further this weekend if nothing else comes up. Got the feeling it is an Auto anyway.
The modified one is very cool, but the A/C delete is a deal breaker for me at that price, its going to be pricey to get it going again I'm sure. Its a little over my budget too, I would have to sell a few items and negotiate the price down some more.
I appreciate it guys! I will be doing a miniature build-log when I get it, starting with "before" pictures, then every mod from there on out...
Great score man,
check out 318ti.org. Lot's a bimmerforum type crap buts lots of good info too. If you look for it.
I'm on there as "mgbman69"
This thing is DECEPTIVELY fast! I LOVE passing cars on the freeway by just putting my foot down in 5th and leaving them in the dust!
I ordered the parts to do a cheapie fix;
new pilot bearing ($11.25)
new throwout bearing ($47.00)
throwout bearing guide tube ($21.25)
new slave cylinder ($58.25)
grrrr... that ate a bit of my budget, I need to sell the stock wheels and tires to recoup that money now. :(
(I AM correct in not including tools to work on the vehicle in the budget right? like $20 for female torx and $20 for 3/8" u-joints for sockets and $30 worth of 3/8" extensions?)
Picked up this 92 325i 5 speed in Clearwater this past Saturday for 1500, A/C blows cold too! Should have offered less, they didn't even balk at my opening offer. Yes I wanted a 4 door. This thing is faster than I expected it to be, it runs and shifts beautifully. Sadly I think it would beat my Supra in a drag race and the Supra has loads of modifications. It has a bad MAF (just won one on e-bay!), interior needs serious help. Clearcoat is bad on hood and trunk. Tires and brakes are in need of some attention. It does have a set of Bilstien's on it already, and some ok looking 16" wheels. Previous owner just replaced clutch, center support and guibo along with new tint. Already has a aluminum t-stat housing and it came with a brand new spare radiator, and a spare axle. Also disc 2 of Metallica S&M and about $2 in change and a few tools I just gotta check out the water pump.
Great find man! Post up some more pictures!
more than a couple Mustangs saw my taillights... and were wondering why! :) love how deceptively fast these things are!
sport compact car started to do a build on a car just like yours
then they quit making the mag...
check it out here (green too!)
I wet sanded all my crappy clearcoat off the car (drivers side door and rear quarter) then re-cleared it with spray clear... total cost $12... :)
I may try to fix the clear myself too. I'm not too picky when it comes to cosmetics so it's worth a try. Any tips, what clear did you use?
There are more pictures of it in my garage.
I still have a few days left to enter the Challenge if I want, decisions decisions
okay, I think I want to go the nitrous route for the Challenger Ti...
I was thinking a 75 wet shot... has anyone dealt with installing one with the wacky bmw fuel system? I have the wiring issues on lockdown and all planned out (probably just a WOT switch and an arm switch)...
any suggestions? I have the cold air intake tube right behind the headlight that I am pretty sure I can locate the nitrous injector into just fine... (do I do this before or after the MAF?)
Autolex wrote: I wonder, would something like THIS work?
Absolutely!
Might want to look into two things, though.
1) Might want to see if the car has the 318 or the 325is fuel pump (i don't know if there's a difference). A wet system takes the fuel out of the rail before it hits the injectors and mixes fuel and nitrous before spraying it, so this obviously puts more stress on your fuel pump. Typically, there's enough leeway for a 50-75 shot, but if you have the 4-cylinder 318 pump, it may already be taxed delivering fuel to the 6-cylinder.
2) Returnless fuel system? I don't remember exactly what the details are, but spraying some of the Honda K-series motors is a pain because of their fuel systems.
I personally like Zex wet kits.
I was digging that one for the Cheap factor... ($350ish), the zex kits I saw online (wet) need a fuel pressure regulator with vacuum port, tps with 4.5V and above, and they cost like $700...
I think it's still got the 318ti fuel pump (not for long, going to replace it with an m3 one) so that shouldn't be an issue.
12.5HP more per cylinder shouldn't be too much for the stock motor should it? (just like a 50 wet shot on a 4cyl car) I am pretty confident that the clutch I am installing should take it (dual friction centerforce friction plate and upgraded pressure plate, stock flywheel)
I am hoping to get somewhere near 250 rwhp on the juice (~2700lb car). I am guessing it's around 170-180 right now, with the afe cold air intake that was already installed on the car... I am thinking about getting it chipped for 93 octane, they say it's good for 10+ rwhp... what is the general consensus on this type of thing?
if my math is correct... 250hp and a good launch should get me into the low 13's...

I sold my last Zex kit for $250. was mint, only used it to run about 10 bottles through the Celica. (Which took a 75 shot admirably, i might add.)
