This is a shot in the dark as 99% of the forum is too far away to bother coming to get this, but I'm ready to part with my 1997 Subaru Outback Wagon with 155k miles on it. Its pretty much a winter beater at this point, but you know subarus, they take a pounding and keep on going.
The good: -New rear struts -runs fine -has tow hitch and light connection
The bad: -Cruise control went out -taillights currently not working (have replacement parking switch on order, if its not bought before I have a chance to repair it, I'm going to replace the switch) -rust bubbles around wheel wells and windshield -cosmetic damage to the front of the car from previous owner -clear coat coming off around car -its an automatic, which is working fine, but boring -catalytic converter has death throw sounds (passed emissions in '07 in Houston, moved to New Mexico before I had to have it emissions tested again in '08) -slow oil leak (quart between oil changes) -slow tire leak (10 pounds every 2 weeks) -alarm system went on the fritz, so I removed it. That means I have to manually lock the drivers door. -The passenger key lock mechanism broke, so you cannot unlock or lock passenger door with key.
The recommended: -car has 155k miles, timing belt was last down around 90k miles, so its coming up on that scheduled maintenance -new brakes recommended (parking braking especially) -front struts are still marginal, but probably need replacement with 20k miles
These pictures are from '07, I'll try and upload new ones, but its pretty much the same except for some additional paint scrapes and rust.
