If that car was mine.... I'd likely ditch the turbo. Find a header and tune it for 140-150whp. What bothers me with it is the Tiburon front hubs so the wheel bolt patterns are wrong. 4x114 up front, 4x100 out back

I wasn't thinking about Gastropods when I bought this...
... but depending on how it goes I might give it some thought.
Test cut #1. I'm thinking maybe the helmet should be a solid color.
There is more to the design, words and cones and stuff, bu the snail comes first.
In reply to stroker :
That's a good idea.
I needed to put my vinyl cutting stuff away so I could get things done before Christmas. These three are stuck to the side of the truck so I can contemplate them over the holidays. I think it's a good start.
Question, what if the pod we're looking at comes with tires mounted on it's wheels that are 200TW, and 2 other sets of rubber on extra sets of wheels (rains and purple crack)
In reply to captdownshift :
Can you get the seller to write you a bill of sale for the car with no wheels and the wheels separate? The number of times I've read CL ads that say "car does not come with wheels shown" leads me to believe that this is legit.
In reply to mazdeuce - Seth :
I'm sure that won't be an issue, and it'll help with the sales tax side at the MVA. Thanks!

Needs zoomies poking out from under the shell.

Challenge rules about brakes and safety equipment still apply. I have very strong feelings about brakes,
Skimming this thread is giving me bad ideas about taking part in the 2019 challenge, now that I'm in "reasonable" driving distance.

what part of the mid-atlantic are you in again? You should save me from the NX that I posted above
In reply to captdownshift :
WV panhandle. Also already found a turbo Dodge that might fit the bill...
I know budget rules are rules, but for tires, any leeway for a new spare tire? I am looking at a bone stock Yugo with the original spare, with the thought of driving it all the way to Gainesville from Indy and back is a little unnerving (1800 miles) with a 30 year old spare. Any budget leniency for anyone actually driving this far? Comments welcome, even harsh ones.
I raced a Fiat 128 for years, which is mechanically what a Yugo is, so I'm crazy with a plan.

In reply to 128racecar :
The budget represents what is ON the car AT the event.
If you remove the spare at the event, you’re golden.
