That looks like an 850 Spider to me. Air-cooled engine, I think.

Wasn't sure about water or aircooled. Know it's rear engined though. And didn't know the hardtop version was called "Racer", thought it was just called "coupe". Just love this site for what you can learn.

"Surface Rust" !!! Not likely! I had a '69 in 1972, and the entire floor pan was already gone! They came from the factory with "surface rust", by the time they got off the boat, the floors were gone.

Man, I miss that car!

These cars rust from the inside out.

When my 85 died and I started parting it out, I discovered some body panels were bare steel on the back side. I guess if you don't see it, it doesn't need paint.
