Runs great, needs body work. Is a great restoration car. Started to sand paint off for a paint job, but wasn't able to finish. I do not have the time or space to do what needs to be done to get this car looking great. 44000 miles on rebuilt engine. Email for questions and more pics.

You are correct, non super with the flat window in 74 (early supers had flat windows also but by 74 they would have been curved)
Looks like a good buy for the price as long as the heater channels and frame head are good.
If that's got anything resembling floorboards its a good deal.
I'm nostalgic for those. My parents bought one (a '74) right before I was born. I rode all over in it as a kid and took my driver's test in it. They had it until my little brother got hit in it. They now have my grandmother's '74 Sun Bug that was completely restored in the mid-90s. I'm thinking about trying to talk them into selling it to me.
yup something fun about a bug... :) friend of mine in HS (i was in mid school) had one... then again both her rent's drove 60's volvos they'd bought when new and where a bit on the hippie side lol... loved riding in that thing... not sure why

A girl I went to school with a had a Gold 74 Sun Bug. I thought it was just about the nicest of the later bugs.
When I started driving, the two cars that were available for me to borrow were my Mom's Beetle and my Dad's Spitfire. Usually Dad wouldn't let me take the Spit (he was afraid someone wouldn't see me, and I'd get run over), so I drove the Bug quite a bit until I got my own car.
Surprisingly (to me at the time), the Bug was a much better chick magnet than the Spit.
