Project autocross/track day for sale.

The car: 86 GTI, black Converted to Megasquirt from CIS-E Stripped interior (and I mean stripped, even the ventilation system is out) Manual steering rack with poly mounting bushings No AC with the proper non AC parts on engine Digifant engine from 88 GL (not sure on motor code but believe it has the 40mm valves) 80mm Bildon wheel studs with 20mm HR spacers Koni yellows in front (unknown mileage) Autometer Ultralite tach and shiftlight Jegs oil pressure and water temp guage Stock bottlecap wheels with OK rubber/treadlife Original teardrop wheels (not pretty, but will hold pressure) Dual round headlights Original headlights and core support (not on car) Solid front BBM engine mount Rear engine mount poly insert

The bad: Shift from 1st to 2nd can be tricky. I think the shifter linkage just needs a rebuild. (Kits cost about $30) Slight leak on the radiator (extra used radiator included) Megasquirt could do with some more tuning. Car is noisy due to exhaust rubbing on the body. Sunroof leaks. Paint is not very pretty. A little rust on the wheel arches and one or two other places. Nothing structural.

This is really a fun car to drive. Getting about 26 to 30 mpg without trying to drive it nicely.

$800.00. Clear title

I will vouch for the quality of the car. If I had the space/time/inclination to NOT use a hatchback as a truck, I'd be on it.
