Not my style, but the price is right.

"1986 Chevrolet Corvette seller trade - $1900 (Cartersville)
1986 Chevy Corvette runs and drives lots of new parts needs air flow sensor and few miscellaneous items good tires good motor and transmission removable hardtop sale or trade"
I find it odd that corvette sellers never find it necessary to mention whether their car is manual or auto.

Ummm... Does that go against the budget?

no, because she is coming as your "companion", not a car part.

Just don't nail her to the hood and you're golden.
You can nail her ON the hood, just not TO the hood. This small difference is important.

IDK, does anyone else look at prices on cars like these (Corvettes) and have have part of their brain shouting "Look! It's a Corvette you can AFFORD!!!"

Not even a little bit. At least not Corvettes.
Man that a heck of a competent chassis for na miata prices.
You certainly can't pick up the plus-sized hookers in an NA Miata, that's for sure.

Honestly, I'd feel better about buying a 3rd gen Camaro for equal-ish money, than a similar-era Corvette. Just a bit less flash I guess.
This is a lot of chassis for the money but it's wrapped up in Mrs. Pac Man era styling.

So unwrap it. This is GRM after all.

Sandy got one of my friends a free C4. All it needed was an engine and an interior and a wiring harness.
i think this is one of the best deals on here i know if it was close i would have bought it already i just sold one that didnt look as good as that one for $4,500.00 fast. there are people out there that just go crazy when they see a vette and think they are worth a ton of money.

There was a C4 for sale near me that didn't look as good - $5000 window price. It was gone in less than a week. If it runs and drives reasonably well, $1900 is a steal.
Irene claimed a C4 near work and I passed by it for a couple of years. I was tempted to stop and ask about it but I have neither the time nor space to deal with such a project, not matter how cheap they may have sold it for. It finally disappeared a few months ago.
Hmmmmm. I wasn't the least bit interested, but now I'm tempted to buy, park in front of shop, stick $4500 "for sale" sign in window.

if you are close go for it.....i think its a no brainer.....people who buy these cars are not looking for performace they are buying to look good and 80% of the public dont know a C4 from a C6 they just see vette
Hell if I had 4500 to drop on a 'vette, I think I would have grabbed Bobzilla's (I think?!?!) when he was selling his. It hadn't been converted to carb, had been gone through, etc. 4500 was a steal on that car!
In reply to cutter67:
No way, anyone who will pay attention can tell that is an old car.
I saw one of these for sale near me for $2970....it was decent enough for a $3K car, I guess. Unfortunately, it was sitting outside a collision repair shop so it could have been a case of a customer not wanting his car back after the repairs.
