I saw a stripped down vette on craigslist last night that has been prepped to be a cart. Listed for $700. I bet $500 would take it.

I bought a GTP parts car with TONS of aftermarket parts for $1000 (have not used it in this build yet cus gaskets ect were going to be unfriendly to my budget)

C4 corvettes and 3800 engines are both some unwanted step children at the moment.... Having bad thoughts.

I just have to drill and tap the VSS sensor bolt hole. I wouldn't mind picking up an unbroken one but just the shipping is not budget freindly.

Remind me in October & I’ll bring it to Gainesville.

While I still hope to make it. I'd say the chances are slim. Maybe 2020.

They made me use all my vacation and sick time when I got hurt. Workmans comp is supposedly going to give them back to me, but even if they do, it may be too late to get it in the book.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed though. It's been a rough couple of years but I'm hoping to be near the end of the tunnel.

It is the best outcome. But it sucks. I try to make the best of it, but in reality im pretty depresed.

Broke the ankle in 2014. Pain never went away and I started falling a lot. New falls, new injuries.

Tried to distract myself with this hobby. Spent a couple months after the last fall researching this current build and traveling to get parts.

But days like today where I make 0 progress but end up hurting are hard to take. These are the days I post 9000 times.

Cant seem to get the transmision to line up with the Cbeam and driveshaft yoke.  Wasted 4 hours.

I'm ready to start it on fire and put it out with a steamroller.

Oh I felt that exact way with my C4 multiple times! Sucks about your ankle though, maybe it’s a good excuse to get a peg-leg & eye-patch and become a full-time pirate?

Ive decided to remove the driveshaft. Slide it forward and put it in the trans, then slide it back and reinstall.

What do you think that would run me shipped to 49007?

Reluctor wheel hits the housing... Things you have to deal with when swapping parts between years/models

Explains my difficulties the last few days. Just needs some grinding!

Its in. No driveshaft though. Figure I need to pull it later to put the SFI fltwheel in. Can't afford it now and I've got a lot of fab work to get to.

Made a mistake on the engine mount. Have to cut it out and move it at least an inch.

C4 engine supposed to be offset 2 inches.

Been a while. Being back to work slows things down but im getting there.

Heat exchanger. Oil and tranny cooler and rafiator all fit in the shroud behind that fan I pulled from a junk acura.

Flipped the blades so its a pusher. Combined with the facory pullers... I hope its enough.

Need to finish the wireing and the fuel lines, then get it back on the hoist for the C beam, D44 and brakes.

Is it good news that you’re back to work???  At least is it a positive sign of your injury?

Its good that I can pay some bills.  I am temporarily allowed to return on light duty while they investigate...

No updates. On the car anyhow... Had a Fitness for duty exam a couple weeks ago. Results in... i am not fit for duty... Now to see what they do about it.

Just thought Id say hi. Project is still in the works... Im just a few hundred short of moving on.

I have decided to eliminate the power stearing pump (big change from the hydroboost swap I was planning)

Im either just going to ryn without PS or swap in an electric unit I got from a prius we scrapped.

Still here. Just purchased a Holden M90 case from Australia like the one on the bottom of this picture. $225Also two turbos from a Ford Focus ST. $150

Used Ebay intercooler $50

Ive been off work since September and had to sell a bunch ofnthe parts I had.

So now we are using a bone stock longblock from buick lucern that I pulled out of the scrap bin. No internal engine modifications only more boost.

Found a jeggs rollcage for $100. Covid 19 has things shut down here in Michigan... But it did change some things and I qualified for unemployment, so I have some income to play around for a while (after I pay all the bills that are behind.)

The Holden supercharge r case is still going to need the firewall trimmed, but the TB is in a better place now.

The Holden thermostat housing clocks almost the right way, will still take a bit of backyard engineering to get the coolant line run.

Drivers side is getting real busy, putting in the drivers side turbo is going to be complicated.

Feels good to be moving in the right direction.

No longer sure I will make the challenge budget, but trying to stick to the challenge budget has been very beneficial. Each time ive changed directions Ive sold parts for profit instead of loss.
