I was given these tube remnants from a cage installation on a friend’s 350z. The tubes are 1.5od. The longest one is 46”. Also there are 1/8 by 6x6 mount plates quantity of 7. I propose a FMV of $25.

Weigh it. My local steel shop sells "usable drops" for $1/lb

I think I shop at the same place as AC so I'm good at $1/lb.

Ok so here are the usable pieces as I see it at this point. I am at 40lbs. I do not see myself using the very short pieces at this point, if that changed I could add them at the rate of $1 per pound. So out of this lot I could budget what I used at $1 per pound. This lot would be considered "usable drops". This is my proposal for FMV.

Yikes. When I built Brad my Drop Shop was $0.60/lb. I just checked their website; $1.05/lb for steel!

Budget $1/lb, and I'll swear to it.

Just weigh what you use as you use it and budget it that way.

Exactly. Only charge your budget what actually ends up on the car.

You don't need forum approval to use corporate pricing as FMV.

https://www.warnersteel.com/
Scroll down to Drop Shop. Use Warner, or document your own drop steel prices locally. Done.
