That's horrible I was really looking forward to seeing that car go down the track. Hopefully you bring it next year.

Just for the record and in the case that Patrick wants to use these for the Challenge in the future. We gave Patrick (2) LS4 short block after scrapping the first one. BOTH of these 2 engines were previously given to us. As noted above he expressed interest in an engine. We gave him 2 plus other LS4 specific parts. We found the second free engine (which we had forgotten about - thanks Mikey) while moving other engines around to get the first engine out.. This comment for documentation in the event it is repurposed for a challenge car.
I came to the thread due to "free LS4"
I have not competed yet (YET) but this would be like stripping out a wheel bolt style hub and tapping it out to use M14 wheel bolts. Yes it is "technically" a strength improvement but it is not practically an improvement as the original size is not a point of failure that needs to be addressed.
