After hearing all the fun my friends have had at previous challenges, I've decided to give it a try next year.
My question is what is this worth as far as budget. It's an 88 Daytona I bought and not a week later went up in flames. Fire didn't get to the engine/trans so this will be salvaged for my Challenge car. What would fmv be on something like this? Scrap?
Hot car!
$200 or scrap, whichever is lower sounds fair to me.
Agreed, $200 or scrap price, whichever is less.
...at least half of the task of weight reduction is done?
Strip it, clear coat it, cage it, and run it just like that.
Call it:
Scrap value currently would be $100 +-$10. That was based off original curb weight.
In reply to Andy Neuman :I feel like original curb weight doesn't apply lol

Did you get it from a dealer? Maybe they have an ash-back guarantee
Id be nervous to offer 200 on craigslist for that, as literally the only salvageable parts are the drivetrain, maybe, and you cant hear it run. Im good with $100, and still probably wouldnt pay it.
Any rare, uber expensive unobtainium parts? Or is it just a stock, extra crispy turbo mopar?
I dunno, but I wanna hear more about the van on crabs in the background.
In reply to Dusterbd13-michael :
Nothing super rare or valuable. Had a a home brew holset setup on it which is what caught my eye in the first place
In reply to poopshovel again :
Not mine. V6. Road Runner conversion van I believe. Guy also has a SRT-4 swapped. T&C Woody wagon
In reply to poopshovel again :
Stock 3.0 with whatever manual trans goes behind them. Vigo built it for a friend of ours I care for it now.
For those of you who heard about my shop fire at the challenge here's the culprit.

Yes, i love that van. It's unique and it gets USED which makes me really happy. I'm always trying to talk Jerry into sending it back to me in Texas so i can boost it.

I strongly support this plan.
Hi,
I'd gladly buy the drivetrain and wheels (or the whole car, whichever is easier) for $100-150. What state is it located in??
