This is my car and I am affiliated.
Yet another change in Challenge direction. But you could come to the Challenge and drive it home!
1991 Miata.
Somewhat faded Miata red, 185k miles.
Interior in good shape overall.
Body is pretty good. Some door dings, front cover rumpled from previous owner's addition of a front plate.
Brakes and tires are in good shape.
Transmission in good shape.
Engine is strong.
Stereo works.
Power windows.
Cruise control.
Needs:
Top; Instrument hood; Steering wheel (replacement included); A/C recharged; air bag light is flashing.
We drove this car home from Clearwater (~3 hours) and it ran perfectly. I've since been driving around town and the car has no mechanical issues whatsoever. Current shift knob shown in pictures not included (it's not mine).
Please let me know what questions you have.

I wish you hadn't done this. I'm tempted to add it to FastAsleep's list.
That would be an easy transaction!
Short nose or long nose crank?
An aftermarket cassette player, really?
Whats up with the little strips of gray on the rockers and rear bumper? Leftovers from mudflaps and sideskirts?
I'd probably buy it today if I could get to Florida and back cheaply.
And I hadn't just drunkenly ruined my knee, making driving incredibly painful...

Was this the car you were going to challenge or do you have another one in waiting?
It is a big nose car. Late 1991 production.
Yep...aftermarket cassette player. Only the finest!
The little strips of gray are the remnants of a barbed wire adhesive strip the previous owner had lovingly added, along with a front license plate that said “Don’t laugh, it’s paid for!”
Murdock, this was to be the Challenge car, only to be replaced with something else that is much closer to being done. Which is good, in light of the dwindling number of days left!

Missed your call last night, dyintorace. Like to trade with you on this. Today is pretty busy at work, but I'll try to call this afternoon.
What's the rust situation like? I'm very interested.
No rust whatsoever. I was under it just last night and it is super straight.
Hell of a deal. Makes me wish I had some crazy excuse for buying it.
