Must have sold. Did you buy it?
On a related note, if anyone stumbles across a '71 Mercury wagon - preferably in brown withOUT the fake wood, give me a shout. I can send it along to my g/f and get a good week or so of entertainment as she hems and haws over it. (she still occasionally talks about that Daytona Violet E34 M5 touring posted a few months ago... )

Nope, wasn't me but I'm glad someone removed the temptation. One longroof is enough right now and Im nickel and diming myself to death with things that dont really need to be done on the Mercury.

I want to go back in time and smack myself. The Skylark turned out to have frame rot. By the time I figured that out, the Sportwagon was long gone.
Also, the level of WANT for that '63 Catalina is very high. Such a cool wagon, and I even like the color.
Randomly drove past this one in the middle of berkeleying NOWHERE a few weeks ago:

If it was half the asking price, I would've taken it as a sign.

I had exactly the same thought. woodgrain HEMI billboards!
'nother local find (can't let the atlanta guys have all the fun)

Need to cleanse the rat look and that hood scoop with fire but it's reasonably cheap and has potential. Love the vista roof (why did I think only the oldsmobiles had those?)
Mmmmm...someone's gotta have a spare 5.0 around here.
