I need a car for less than $750.00 that can be picked up tomorrow or wednesday.
Preferably within 100 miles of Lansing, Mi.

That would be <$750, just to be clear. :) You might also want to mention if it needs to be daily driverable or just any old hunk of metal with that rolled on a road at some point in time. Good luck.
Bryce
You need a car greater than $750 in Michigan?
I mean, I know people are leaving in droves, but are the dealerships just empty lots these days...?
Yeah, what he said... I tried to fix yonder post title but it wouldn't let me. Baxter is a Bob Costas ;)
I have $750.00 in pocket today. I need a car van or SUV that runs and will make it to and from work daily and will be safe enough to transport a five year old and a newborn in.
Better? Sweet!
Trucker clock, who's got some?
Not sure how far Ann Arbor is for you but here is an 86 Accord for $500: http://annarbor.craigslist.org/cto/807979154.html
You guys are gonna LOVE what I think I just bought...
Pics to follow on thursday...
If you are drunk enough it looks like a NB Miata.

Close but not close enough.
I think the owner has just tried blowing smoke up me kilt. I just heard from someone else who said he checked the car out and the crankcase was full of chocolate milk.
I will see tonight.
You could take my Maxima for 750 and itll drive anywhere but I think it needs more work than youre looking for right now.
Cavalier is exact opposite of safe.

"poor" rating by IIHS.
I never said SAFE, I said safe enough ;)
Remember I strapped a 10 day old kid in a car seat and dragged him to the Challenge in 2002 in the back of a 96 Astro... "Safety" is my second middle name, it's right after "Screw".

That needs to be a signature or a bumber sticker.
I didn't really have a lot of cars to begin with.
After the Escort went away I needed to liquidate to get back in the saddle.
Not enough dough to pick up the Raudi. I have $750.00 flat and that is not $1000.00 plain and simple.

Aw c'mon! You're not going to let a little good natured ribbing interfere with your decision process are you?
Astros get decent gas mileage for their size (my old 4.3 still got 22mpg when it had 275,000 miles on it) and parts are c-h-e-a-p. Rebuilt calipers at Autozone were less than $20/ea. Brake pads were similar. Brake hoses were around $10/ea. And all those parts lasted through the babe rally including mountain passes. The transmission, though, did not like the mountain passes. (Lost second gear. had to limp back down the mountain and drive around the tail of the dragon.)
OK, this car has been my daily driver for 4 ½ years (and still is). It is still a reliable car but it needs some work and I don’t have time anymore to fix it. I would like it to go to someone who can appreciate the car’s potential. First: The car is a 1990 red TGP Coupe with 166,XXX miles on it. It is located near Lansing, Michigan (48842). I am asking $800 for it. It has tan cloth interior. Mods: Topgun 160 chip and 160* thermostat K&N open cone filter No Cat Turbo was rebuilt at 110,000 miles Oil return line replaced Replaced coil packs and ignition module Air conditioning was retrofit to r134a but needs recharging Rear struts were replaced Optima red top battery is about 3 years old Alternator replaced Fuel pump replaced Interior is in good shape All gauges work except for oil pressure, HUD works Power seats work fine Sunroof works fine Issues: Still has stock crossover so it is cracked and causes the car to stall sometimes. ABS pump cycles and light on dash is flashing Turn signals don’t work due to a problem with the lever Power antenna doesn’t go down completely Front brake rotors are badly warped and need to be replaced The cassette deck is broken but the radio works Steering wheel radio controls don’t work Runs well but does use some oil Front end may need some work; it makes some popping noises sometimes Will need tires soon Power mirror on driver’s side won’t move with power in the “up” direction Cruise control doesn’t work I had to remove the front lower valance a few months ago after driving through a big snow finally ripped it in half Paint has normal fading for its age and clearcoat is coming off the fender flares There is some minor surface rust in a few spots but no other body damage to speak of. Whole car needs a good cleaning, inside and out
Needs brakes, turn signal switch and a set of tires. It runs a little rich, but has crap for plugs and wires.
