Bit of a long one, sorry.
Well this evening (wednesday) while street testing, the little 4.8 decide it did not want to play no mo.
Scrambling to find a motor and have it in tonight, i realized i have a "stock" longblock 5.3 sitting in my foxbody that i actually paid less for than my 4.8. Mainly because it was a bare long block, no accessories etc. Rotating assembly is stock, but the heads were resurfaced etc.
Long story short. Pulled the 4.8, swapped everything over to the 5.3. And now tomorrow ill attempt to fire it up and tweak the tune and head out.
Luckily i have a few great friends and an an awesome father in law who stayed til i got the final bolt tight.
Not how i anticipated spending my wednesday night lol
Well that sucks. Glad you were able to get the swap in.
Just thought of something. Make sure that head work/gaskets is included in budget. I'd hate for you to get caught on a technicality.
Yea. Explained everything to tom and others. Good to go.
Be there soon!
Look at that fancy team with a trailer and everything. See you around 5.

One year thank you. It broke loading up last year right before the Q45 rejected it's radiator.

apparently my new trailer made it home with 3/4 of the axle attachment points intact
All this talk of broken trailers and this happened on the way here. Everyone slamming on the brakes and the car jumping the chalks into the box...
Was more worried about the car. But its good lol
I like the car's color, stance, and wheel/tire package. Good luck out there.
Do you not have tiedowns holding it back?
i can't imagine how it would roll forward if so and don't see them on the picture of it on the trailer...
glad it's not too bad but make sure you have that thing secure! I've seen pics of trailers on their side with cars still strapped to them!

I had a tie down holding it back, but it broke

It ran exceptionally well. I was ecstatic with how it performed. I will tweak itnover the next year and come back with it next year.
