Is no one going to talk about the Speedycop "Spirit of Lemons" Cessna that I see registered?
I hadn't bothered to check the list of entrants lately, for those who need a quick link, it's here; https://www.motorsportreg.com/index.cfm/event/event.status/uidEvent/78B0268F-DF95-22A9-11F7BFBE95EEC791
Wish I knew more real names instead of forum handles. I also realize probably half of the people bringing cars, if not more, are not active on the forum. Who is Jeff Bloch?
In reply to pres589 (djronnebaum) :
Jeff Bloch is better known as Speedycop. Builder of some epic 24 Hours of Lemons race cars.
I didn't know if the actual Speedycop, whom I know of through watching the Lemons YouTube videos, was running this or if someone was just running it in his name. Cool deal.
We have brakes, we have a rear suspension, we have 97.3% of a front suspension, finishing up the steering shaft then the engine goes in.
If the event were in October we'd be way ahead of schedule
The budget car is done and now the over budget car is giving me issues. Still going to be there but might be 1 less viper.
Checklist is getting shorter but so is time. It’s running and driving but continuing Brake issues have eaten up way too much time.
The Wreck Racing Alumni fleet of challenge cars has been assembled:
F10 535 xdrive with a seriously misbehaving transmission
W123 with a small block
Jetta TDI with some GTI/R bits
LTD with the diesel from the W123

Wait, wut? Really? What sort of challenge is that built for?
That's awesome!
There are 87 Cars registered.... that is AWESOME! and it seems to continue to climb! This is going to be an EPIC year.
Whelp I do believe we're out. The A568 trans into an L body which I've done a million times before suddenly doesn't want to cooperate.
Spirit R/T clutch cable inexplicably too short. 90 Omni auto axle too long.

Oh no! Would a cable from and '85 manual work? I could pull mine from the a528 out back and start driving your way easily enough...
