If it weren't for distance and lack of storage, I think this would fall into the "moral imperative" category...
Are those inboard drums on the rear?

They are.
As a resident purveyor of hopeless and lost causes here, I did look to see you were in Alabama........too far sadly, as I would lol seeing that in storage trying to figure out what to do with it.
If you were closer to New England, I'd take you up. A few years ago I picked up a TVR 280i at an auction. Sold the chassis to a guy that used the tube frame for a killer Karmann Ghia build.

Yes, it has a title. It will come with all Challenge required documentation / pictures / etc. It's even in a nice 3" binder with sections for material.
If anyone wants to buy this, I could maybe give you somewhere to store it for a bit if needed in Cullman, AL.
Yep. That is a partial picture of it. Its a bit blurry because I didn't take it out of the sleeve. We can be a flexible with logistics. I am willing to help out as much as possible to see this project done.

I hate when people know me that well!
You've got mail.
SVreX wrote: Another $20XX Lotus Challenger bites the dust.... Hope a Challenger picks it up.
We do too. This is more about seeing the project get finished. With Argo (Dad) moving to the wrong coast, and me working 2 jobs... it has just sat with minimal work for too long and it appears to be even less opportunity to work on it in the future.
SVreX wrote: I just dropped your Dad a line. I'm interested, and close enough to do something about it.
You've got return mail...
BradLTL wrote: Excellent. You are close enough for me to lend a hand if you were ever to need it as well.
I'd love it. Got some interesting plans I'd like to fill you in on.
Is your website down? I remember you had a good research/ build page on this, and I'd like to re-read it, but I am having trouble getting connected.
It still looks up. www.AlsoRanRacing.com
I have a boatload of links and other references I will send along. Including a digital version of the shop manual from Lotus.

Weird.
All I'm getting is a server not found error.
My wife saw me looking at this thread and kicked me. She didn't say a word, just kicked me. Pavlov's dog? I'm not sure who the dog is though.
I keep thinking that an LS should go in there.
In reply to DrBoost:
Yea... we thought about that as well (in fact it was our original plan). The issue there is torque. This car has a backbone chassis, and it might be ok with the amount of torque that an LS could produce, but I wouldn't want to be proved wrong. We decided rotary would be best. The performance numbers are still insane, the only real difference is you have to keep the engine around 7000rpms vs the 2500 (with the LSx).
