I like the plastic Eclipse skirts on the DSM too much to use them on it. Though I did ponder using a piece as a splitter.
Actually, You should consider using it for some hood venting. DSMs have fairly poor airflow with regards to engine cooling. I had a second vented hood for the rally car that lowered IATs by nearly 20 degrees. I would strongly consider keeping it around to utilize as a cowl or duct to get some airflow into and out from the engine compartment.
