Up for sale is my 2001 DRZ400S. It has approximately 8400 miles on it, and slowly going up as I still ride the bike often. It is stock except for the addition of the Thumpertalk Case Shields, Skid Plate, peg sliders, MCCT (installed, not pictured), and FlatLands Radiator Guards. It also has the 3x3 mod done by the previous owner and I believe it has been rejetted (never took the carb off to confirm).
I have a new RK 110 link o-ring chain, 15T front and 41T rear sprocket waiting to go on it that comes with the bike. Tires, rear is a stock Trailwing, front is a Kenda 270, both could probably use replacing in the next thousand miles or so. The plastics and graphics are a bit scratched up from branches and stuff, its a dirt bike. Only other things it needs right now is a new battery (coming tomorrow if any local cycle shops have one) and once it arrives I'll be adding an edge taillight and lower profile turn signals. Came out the other morning to find the bike laying down, blown over by the wind with a busted turn signal so I just ordered everything new for the rear end lights to lose some pounds and have something harder to bust up.
I've ridden about 1000 miles on it since I bought it last year, but I've got "shiny new thing" syndrome again and want to get something different. It will ride highway speeds no problem and is a superb bike around town or down a trail. Clean Maryland title, in my possession. Price is best offer (see below).
Of course, more pics will be posted once the new taillight goes on and I will take more pictures as requested.

I believe it refers to cutting a 3x3" hole in the air box, stock setup is a little restrictive

Thats a great deal on what is generally considered the best all around dualsport.
A 240sx doesn't help me replace my bike with a new WR250R. ;)
Replaced the battery with a brandy new Yuasa YT7B-BS from a local dealer and installed a new Uni air filter. She runs SO MUCH better with clean breathing and a good battery! Yes, the 3x3 mod is basically cutting a 3"x3" hole in the top of the airbox to let her breath better.
Mistanfo, resend your message. I hit the "empty folder" button on my junkmail too quickly.

Piece of berkeleying E36 M3.
The bike no longer runs. As I was changing the oil today, the crank case cracked around the oil drain bolt.
New price: make an offer to get this 300# paperweight out of my parking spot. .
The crankcase crack occurred while the motor wasn't running right?
Either way, that f'in sucks big time. I'm sorry to hear about it.
if it can fit in the back of my exploder ill come haul it away free of charge
but seriously, that sucks ass man.
im trying to remember, didnt your red miata crank nose self destruct right when you were trying to sell it as well?
your vehicles hate you when you try to sell them
It was during an oil change, so yes fortunately it wasn't a grenading event.
The cases are magnesium. If you over-torque the drain bolt or re-use the crush washer, there's a good chance you'll tear out the drain plug because the metal is so soft. I have a feeling mine were already barely cracked by the P.O. since it basically just gave out, but c'est la vie.
The real bitch of the situation is I've been putting off doing this for about three weeks because the weather's alternatively been too cold to be outside for long or too nice to not go for a ride. Had I done this when I first starting thinking about it, it would have been done BEFORE I bought a new battery, air filter, helmet, jacket, pants, boots, taillight, and chain/sprockets and I would have been in a MUCH better position to go shopping.
In any event, the bike was sold this evening to a nice guy from PA who has the time to fix garbage like this.
