EDIT: Willing to make a cash deal... Challenge friendly!

I suppose I might actually settle for cash if nothing more interesting comes up but I really need a good car and not more money...

It has become clear that I need a "regular" car to use instead of trying to use a race car as a grocery getter...

I am open to trades offers for my '91 Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX. It is fairly rust free for a northeast car and largely intact... in fact the interior is actually pretty nice. Exterior is pretty rough but could be made passable with some minor work...

There are not too many of these classic all wheel drive monsters left out in the wild and you know that you have always kind of wanted one.

It has approx 213k miles on the chassis; about 50k since a rebuild on the block and about 4k since the valves and timing belt were redone. Runs well and is fast (and furious!), reliable and safe.

I cannot remember all the details and am a little behind on updating my list but this is most of it. Of course it will come with all my receipts and notes from the past couple of years. Has :

It IS really awesome. It is not just speed, she handles well too... placed 2nd in SM last year in my region last year... also completed several tough Hillclimbs and was outrunning spec e30's around the track...

My health is failing and I do not not think I can race anymore so my loss could be your gain.

To bad it has to be an automatic, was almost ready to offer up my integra. I love those first gen DSM cars.

Sad , I know... but the fiance cannot drive stick despite multiple attempts to learn.

It is a shame since I always wanted an integra and would be all over it if it was an auto...

Ooof, the only things I have that are autos are the definition of slow and boring. I'd LOVE to have another DSM, especially that one.

It really is a pretty nice package with a lot of potential and already fairly well sorted. I did all the work myself so I would not call it perfect and it needs some little attention like all older cars but it is a very solid base. Only a few little bubbles of rust on the body and I have some spare stuff to go with it too...

And I am trying my hardest to not go gently into that good night of boring, beige appliances. I might not be shopping for that 996TT anymore but I still need a little excitement in my life.

I have informed SWMBO about this idea and, no surprise, she REALLY likes it!

She also understands that I will never stop autocrossing even if it is in a town car with hand controls...

I know, I'm sittig here looking at CL to see if I can round up auto parts cheaply to swap the teg to an auto. For some reason I REALLY want that car.

I have had a little local interest from some people, but not as much as I might have thought from the group here. I know many do not like to deal with other people's mods but I assure you that it was all done with the greatest of care...

Seriously, though, I could probably be talked into working out a cash deal if someone here wanted it to discuss it.

Not really sure, I have never had it apart. Was told that it was an ACT but not which one...

All I can say is that it is in good shape; never a bit of slip even with pretty hard use.

Absolutely not. I'll replace crappy motors or blown motors with F2Ts, but i'd never dream of ripping out something as awesome as a 4g63 for an F2T.

tb, how much more boost do you think the clutch will take?

Convert to the 4G!!!

Honestly, I am not sure... I have run as high as 26psi with no issues but I think that about maxes out this turbo for airflow...

My key to keeping to clutch alive is not abusing the anti-lag and launch control. I have caught the rare but normal whiff of clutch when being over aggressive so I would guess not too much more... my philosophy involves not breaking things so I go easy on them

Indeed, it is!

As it sits it could be a top 10 at the challenge...

A little work with some tuning, weight reduction and a few minor issues and one could crack the top 5...

And then there is plenty to sell off for actual upgrades and cosmetic work and you could have an actual contender...

Yeah, the bitch of it is getting it from MA- and trying to explain to the wife why I bought another DSM, when she specifically forbade it.

Actually, I am currently located in Philadelphia... and could probably work out delivery for a small fee.

Of course, I will go nowhere near a wife who has been deceived! They are dangerous and I value my life!
