Will there be scales at the Challenge this year?

There weren't last year and that was sad.

No, sorry. This year we can't justify the extra staff and the disruption to the event it takes to weigh cars.

Next year is a strong possibility, though.

Aw man  It's so interesting seeing exactly what each car weighs after all the mods. Makes for good data in the article too.

I think several people own scales.  Wonder if they could bring them and maybe set up at the hotel Thursday.

Is there anywhere in the hotel lot level enough for scales, except under the canopy at the front entrance?

Maybe someone with a set could set up on Friday after the AutoX and dinner and before/during the drags?

I'll be there Friday as an autocross volunteer. I'd love to get an actual weight of my miata. 

i have brand new set of Proform scales still in the box...wouldnt mind testing them out on Friday

Trying to think about Friday.  Usually my nap time is between autocross and drags and 50/50 chance I miss dinner.  If cool with the staff maybe the NE corner of the pavilion could be used?  I know there's power there.  If there's power at the SW corner that is usually empty at those times.

Might make more sense to do weighing at the concours on Saturday? Usually not enough free time Friday between the dynamic events.

Problem with concours is all the cars running interrupt the teams still giving a presentation.  I don't know.  Whoever brings scales I say get with the staff and see what they think will be the less intrusive.

Scales and Dyno on the last day would be very very cool IMO.

Plus it would be interesting content for the article
