WTB 15" neon rims, detroit area or gainesville

trying to help out another Challenger. i've got his autocross tires but don't yet have a hookup on rims for his neon. need 15"ers to hold the 225/50 kumhos. must be cheap and structurally sound. prefer detroit hookup so i can mount and balance for free, but if someone can bring to host hotel we'll find a local tire shop in G'ville.

Would some 5x100 GM steelies work? We have a slew of them leftover from LeMons racing (undamaged).

Yes they should the BC is right and the GM HC is larger than the Neon

anyone know if fiero wheels will work? i've got a potential hookup on a set of FGT wheels, but i'm afraid of two things:

1. are they staggered? i thought fronts were 6" and rears were 7" but haven't found confirmation or denial and can't measure them until saturday.

2. is the fiero pilot bigger than the neon? if yes, that's cool.

can you tell me the width of the stock Fiero GT rims?

6.5" and 7.5" I think but I need to verify with the resident Fiero nerd.

Stock pre-88 GT rims (mesh alloys with painted centers and machined lips) were 15x7. In '88 the mesh wheels were 15x6 front, 15x7 rear. The easiest way to pick out the skinnier fronts is that the offset puts the mesh wheel center much closer to the edge of the rim, so the machined section is a little more than a quarter inch, while the wider 7" ones have almost an inch of machined lip. The center bore should be bigger than the Neon wheels.

In other news, if somebody has some '88 Fiero front mesh wheels and doesn't want them, I'd appreciate a stab at them. They're not anything special for 99.99999% of Americans, I'm just weird that way.

Worse comes to worse, my GLH's rims/tires will work on the Neon. i can let him use them after i've made my runs....(if there's any tread left!)

Or no oil on them from the engine going KABLOW!
