There's something special about real, original Wimbledon White paint. I'm not sure what it is, but the color just doesn't look the same with modern paint. I know that I'm effusing about white, but I just like this particular shade on old Fords.

I'm generally not a white-car guy, but I have to agree...

In my miscellaneous daydreams about lightweight Galaxies and Thunderbolt Fairlanes and miscellaneous Falcons, that color is more often than not what I want.

I had a white '64 two door sedan (is that the right moniker for the one without the Sprint's more swept roofline?)...

I'm not done with Falcons yet.

i will never understand why people will not clean a car before trying to sell it.

Because those are parts that go on the car.

But I know what you are talking about.

I tried to buy a '69 Falcon this past fall, got beat out by some guy who bought it to flip (and lied to the seller about that; he wanted to sell it to someone who would appreciate it). Anyway, this buttmonkey has had it on Ebay multiple times and it hasn't met reserve. Heck, it's barely made what he paid for it, which makes me LOL. But the real pathetic thing is the car is missing the hood molding. The part is with the car. It's held on by about 10 screws, yet this seller can't seem to find the time to install it, so the front of the car looks like ass. I just can't grasp being that lazy.

Hopefully it will languish until early spring and I can buy it for less than this chucklehead paid for it. If not, I hope his lazy ass is stuck with it (the guy isn't even into Fords).

'64 Falcons are my favorites and so are '66s, tho I wouldn't pass up any other years without at least giving the car a good look-over.

When I was in high school, the local Ford dealer had 3 Falcons on the back of their lot: all were "lo-buck"/stripper sedans in dark colors, but I didn't care, I really wanted one and thought that the vinyl seats and "dog dish" hubcaps made them MORE appealling. Unfortunately, I couldn't scrape the few hundred dollars together for the asking price.

BTW, this one is deleted.
