Doesn't seem like a very good deal, I'm seeing these on CL locally for about the same or a touch more in much better condition.

Throw a diesel and manual trans and make it a cool towing vehicle

A/G bodies are extremely hard to find around here, and when one comes up for sale it's a bidding war between the drag racers and the donk guys. I haven't seen one in for repair work (not counting Grand Nationals) since '98 or so. They have... rust issues.

Yeah, I had a hard time finding a decent Challenge-priced one when I was looking to pick up the one I'm working on now. I still kind of wonder if I'd have been better off with one out in a field that I passed on instead of the one I got.

More info would be nice on this as would more pics- but if the engine is stock it likely has a 305. Doesn't appear to have the rust issues that typically develop between the doors and the rear wheel wells, but that could just have been well covered up.

Hrm, guess this one was a bit more than I thought, saw this recently;

$2800 (although the text says $3200) and I wonder if he'd be swayed by $2000, cash in hand. 267 V8 which is unfortunate but anything factory from 1981 would be a joke, and the crank might be interesting in a 350 block...
