These had "3 on the tree"? I figured even the column shifted ones had 4 speeds?

I love the line "....driven on the highway". I know what he means, but where else would you did a car? On the water? on the sidewalk? though the woods?

It was an industrial motor used on stuff like City owned sewer pumps. I can't speak for Chump Racers, but ice racing? The thing overheats you pull into the pits, shovel in three scoops of snow and get back out there! Try that with an aluminum Honda.

I know a guy that plumbed in a Turbo set up from a Corvair.
