I've talked to the guy on email since I"m "somewhat" interested. I was going to get another e30 for a track or maybe lemons car, but kind of want something a little more unusual....IDK I'm weird like that I guess. Plus I have a spare M42 just sitting here....
Anyhow, owner said: 1. last driven in 2008 or so (it was his sister's college car) 2. they did some rust repair of some sort when they bought it a few years before that. 3. engine is complete and was running when parked. 4. interior is complete and in pretty good shape. 5. thinks he has a title, but not sure (this is key for me)
Anyhow, I'm gonna go take a look at it midweek next week perhaps since it's not that far from me and see how extensive the rust UNDER the car is. He said it's been sitting on gravel (not dirt/grass) for most of the time it's been dormant. He's not available this weekend, so if I don't get it, I'll post up info....
Only bonus is it has no sunroof.......otherwise, I'll give mad props if you can bring it back for less than $1000......you can buy a nice one for that.

"if" i were to get it, that's not really a concern. I actually need to practice my rust repair (I suck at it), so wouldn't mind a car with some just not infinite rust. IDK, just toying with the idea. I know e21's aren't that great but for some reason I've always liked them.
I fully expect this to be a basketcase with the rust, but It's not too far from home and a nice drive, so might as well check it out :)
And, maybe his college-age sister is hot.

it's a '77 and in much better shape than it shows in the pics. Almost no body rust, just a bunch of surface stuff from sitting.
And got it for well below the asking price :)
