I don't usually post CL findings here, but this might be a great start to a challenge or Lemons car for someone. No relation, etc...

1979 Triumph TR7 - $200 (powder springs/ douglassville)
Date: 2012-05-24, 3:14PM EDT
Partial restoration done 15 years ago. Modified to fit a 22r Toyota Celica engine. It has been sitting for years and is in bad shape. I would HATE to send it to the junkyard. Will accept any offer above the junkyards to keep it from going.

I would say that is overpriced. You would have to pay me to put that ugly in my driveway. ![](/media/img/icons/smilies/evil-18.png)
Yeah, not my cup of tea appearance wise, but hey, it's cheap.

If you talk them down to $100 you could spend the rest on booze and it might look ok for a few days.

Wow, a lot of TR7 un-love.
This was the shape of things to come,,,

I LOVE TR7s. It looks in decent shape for the price and I am glad it isn't a coupe.
Mrs. 914 wants me to buy it, evidently I'm making her nuts without a project. Then I told her it's in Atlantaa.....
Even if you don't like TR7s, the cat is worth $90 and the wheels another $150. Working 5 speeds are $250 all day long. Little things like $50 gas caps and grill tim add up fast. If it wasn't 1000 miles away, It would be in my driveway already.

I wanted a TR8 badly when I was 12. I was very into the wedgy thing. I still have to share this...

She's sooo rusty.....I can't think of an ending even though you set it up
I think they're cool. But if I was going to go to the trouble to swap a Toyota engine, not sure I'd have done a 22R. Seems an odd choice.

Along with HOW many others already there? And more in the garage, and the one out back, and that front clip hanging off of the back wall, and the one that you just junked, and . . . you keep this up and you'll find yourself sitting on metal chairs, drinking coffee in the basement of a Protestant church, and looking for a sponsor.

What happened with this car? I am looking for who bought it.
I am starting the same conversion and seeking any info on the conversion I can find. Would have bought the car myself and had it shipped to me, but I didn't find the post until today. Pictures of the motor mounts and how they installed them would be a great help.
Thank you,
