Wow.. Not mine but wish it was!
I could potentially try to look at it for out of staters.

The same car is also on eBay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/?cmd=ViewItem&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649&item=220991638184&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWAX%3AIT
Foarimont? This also belongs in the "favorite CL misspellings" thread...
I'm torn between what a great starting point this is, and just thinking that Fairmonts, perhaps without a couple of this car's niceties, should more or less land in your lap in exchange for hauling them away...
Wow. My parents had a red/red Fairmont wagon when I was a kid, and I loved that car. It was even a 4 cyl / 4 speed. I shouldn't, but that is very tempting.

I've thought the same thing, but I don't think it's really the case anymore. I've looked on and off for one of these for several years, and they are getting to be quite rare, especially in decent shape as this one appears to be. And every seller seems to know that they have the perfect platform to swap in a bunch of Fox Mustang bits, because they all mention this in the ad.
Having said that, sedans are a bit easier to find than wagons, but wagons are so much cooler....
Probably because he had them literally laying around. He is an ex-NMRA Pure Street/Real Street racer that I know. Those cars would only get about 15 passes on a set of 26x10's before the 60' would fall off and the car would slow down. Can't afford that when you could be winning or losing by .02 sec at the stripe.
