Spirits were all rwd. You could get them with the iron duke 4cyl or the 4.2 liter inline six. Manual or auto.

They also made the Eagle SX-4 which is the same body style but has the 4wd system, and has a higher ride height.

ahh. a guy in my develop had the eagle SX-4 (I remember the SX-4 decals) that was in pristine condition, bright red with white decals, and vintage fogs in front of the grille. It was pretty sweet. I should have made friends with him.

Saw an Eagle SX-4 for sale today in lower Delaware for $1800. Guy is on Rt 13. It was not pristine.

The one time I was involved with a demo derby effort, the car that ended up kicking everyone's ass in the compact class was a Spirit. First(and last) time I'd seen one in decades.

It had a full roll cage, and tubular bumpers at each end. Somehow, it was still legal(I'd read the rules, it wasn't. But he'd obviously made friends with the organizers.)
