Yes its mine.
I have driven it every day for years and it has always been reliable, but since I can only have one car I want something newer and with more power for a change. Needs some minor work, but nothing thats a huge deal. Offers are welcome also.
So glad you are on the other side of the country!
Good luck with the sale, very nice looking car!
It would probably make it across the country... No one here wants it once they find out out many miles are on it though

Are you gonna keep us in suspense? How many miles?
I don't know for sure, but about 425k is my best guess. You would never know it wasn't 200k from the condition of everything though.
Are you selling it for so cheap for because of the milage?
Yes, if it had say 190k or something it would be worth more, but as it is, no one is even interested at $1250 once they know the mileage. I could take the wheels and headlights and stuff off and sell them and scrap the car for $1k and make a lot more, but I would really rather someone be able to use it even if I get a few hundred less for it. I would just keep it except its not that much fun when its my only car, and I don't have room for 2 cars.
I STILL like this car. Would like to give it a home but just cannot at all justify the cost of bringing it across the country. GLWS; hope it finds another good home soon.

Wow, that looks amazing for that many miles. We don't get many nice 80s cars in the rust belt unless they go into hibernation.
I'd totally rock that if I had the time for a fly and drive.
Hmm, would you have time in the future? I don't have to get rid of it right away. No one will even come look at it with the amount of miles on it, but its still as good or better shape than the other few I have driven that were all under 250k.
I'm in the same boat with my 300SD. I'm trying to sell/trade it, and can't get anyone to give me the time of day because of the mileage.
425k isn't bad. I've had 4 Mercedes, and they've all had at least that on them. Hell, I had a Volvo gasser with 400k on it that drove like a dream.
My 300sd will has ~679k on it and is one of the best drivers I've owned. Runs better and gets better MPGs that the 3 other Mercedes I owned with with nearly half as many miles on them. Maintenance is everything. I cannot stress that enough. Cars like yours and mine were taken care of by their owners, and still have compression and oil pressure because of it. I really wish car buyers would just educate themselves. I would like to know how many have passed up good cars like ours because of mileage to buy a POS with 150-200k on it that is knocking on death's door (no pun intended).

Hi Travis, under current life conditions no idea when I'd have the time. However, I'm working on a career shift that would result in a free week between jobs. I'll keep watching the thread though!
I agree with you guys about good PM and long vehicle life. When I sold my Mk4 GTI a few months ago, the guy who snapped it up for my asking price in about 24hrs thought as we do, despite the 200k on the odometer.
Both my Mercedes have over 300k. I'm not sure the milage on the motor of the w123 though.

if you think you would seriously want to do that, let me know and as long as I still have it we could work something out.

OK will do; just looked at your thread on Pelican and looks like it's getting some interest though! Good on you for keeping it in one piece rather than scrapping!

Good luck with sale! Gave you a little bump. That car would be worth much more here in the NE simply because it is rust free. Best bet might be ebay on it and have someone ship it north or across the country. I sold my rust-free "project" (trans was blown) 300sd for $800 last year in CT though I was desperate to get rid of it. Despite that, PP is the right crowd for sure -- great forum.
