Not mine, etc. OK! I know it is not a under $2k item, but I still think it is pretty cool aluminum donk for cheap. Could you double your money if it was running? Stuff like this gets me thinking....thinking incorrectly? but thinking.

Own a piece of Americana!
'83 31' Airstream motor home. I'm selling this AS IS. The RV does not currently run. Motivated individual can get it going with some "know-how". The motor turns over and is not "locked-up". A tune up is needed as well as new batteries(3. 1 for starting, 2 for coach). 91,000 miles, Chevy 454 gas engine, 31 ft long, kitchen(sink, fridge, stove), two twin beds in rear, couch folds into bed, vac system, captain chairs in front, toilet, shower
MUST SELL ASAP!!!!!!!!

I don't think that I've ever heard anyone suggest that they could double their money on a motorhome.
Thats good! I would then have to keep it, (which I really wanted to do in the first place).
Twin beds in back, everything needs updates, you know the mechanicals are going to need help, I'm thinking $5k is good money if it were running.
I wonder how the airstream motorhomes stack up against the others?

I sell motorhomes at auction. If there ever was one that could double the money, it is an airstream.
As I ease closer to retirement, this turns my head. Using this to haul a sailplane across the southwest, how bad can it be?
Tim had a good article about RV-ing but I don't recall if it was in GRM or CM. Gotta look.
i have a good friend that has this exact RV in perfect condition it has upgraded drivetrain. these are really nice rolling homes very well made and i dont think he is very far away on his asking price

But he IS far away....From me anyway.
It would be different if it ran, but how the hell do you tow that thing several hundred miles?
Its a 454. That means 4.54 hours of tinkering, and/or $45.4 in parts, and you drive it home.....until it breaks down in 4.54 miles.

Remove 454 and T400. Install Duramax and Allison. Win.
