So, what's that, like $60?
I have an '83 XL600R in some pieces. It's currently a non-runner, undiagnosed, partially disassembled. As many of you know, I really don't do non-runners because of this exact situation - I just never got to it. I was too busy playing with the toys that go. I have a title for it, not in my name.
I'd happily let it go to one of us in exchange for a bottle of good bourbon.
Time is of the essence here. It's in the garage of my old place and my lease runs out 3/31, so this needs to happen soon. Who wants a (nearly) free old school enduro?
Man, I wish you were closer!!!
Why are you so far away!! Someone grab this, great old school bullet proof bikes.

I really want that, I could probably make it to Chicago before the end of the month.
Is the title signed by the previous owner?
Only 400 miles from me, the last sub $100 Honda motorcycle I got off the forum was 430 miles.
Yes, the title is signed. I have a signed affidavit of correction to correct the buyer's name, who isn't me.
So you are saying that there isn't much of a way to transfer it into someone else's name? That is very tempting. I am only 300 miles away and could always use another bike. Plus my birthday is next week and my wife can't very well say no to a $60 bike.
You can register it and transfer title with the signed title and affidavit. I was planning on titling this thing if I ever got it running. The affidavit of correction is how you change something like a buyer name if you start to sign something over and end up selling to someone else, make a mistake on the title, that kind of thing. This one is pretty straightforward - I've transferred weirder titles with less documentation than this in Illinois.

I think you should definitely get it. I don't need even more projects.
I am thinking about it. Does the motor spin at all? What are we talking about with being partly apart. I am not worried about the value (who could be) but just worried about spending will end up being an entire long ass day in a car if it is locked up and needs a new piston, etc...
Let me think on it for tonight and I will have you an answer tomorrow.

I'll take it.
It will go perfect with my ever growing (un?)stable of out-of-date large bore street titled dirtmurdercycles.
I call these Yamahas the "Death Twins"; I traded a bottle of whiskey for the DT
But the RXC 620 is the one that my wife is afraid to ride pillion on. I dunno why, it only vibrates a "little"
If the deal falls through let me know.
That way it will be most of the way to your house EvanB! Lol!
If cooter doesn't grab it from you I'm in the NW suburbs and would give it a home.

I'm just sw of the city, have a tall roof Sprinter, and can pick it up as soon as you want. Just need to know your preference in bourbon.
Yep, I am out. Too far for me to drive at the moment. Someone enjoy!
Which side of the city? I could always make the drive up from Columbus...
