but somebody here is a fan of them so I am helping out.
I was really hoping all of them had been cushed.....it is in the top three o worse caddys ever built.....the 4100 may be the worse caddy engine ever built
I've never been able to figure out the fauxvertible top thing. Combine that with the weird boattail attempt that really just manages to look like somebody unceremoniously chopped off the trunk, and you get real 80s ugly.
well i owned one,a 1982, it was a Diesel also, great riding car good hiway cruiser. had it 3 yrs, no problems that i couldnt take care of myself.
many summer trips from Daytona up into N. Georgia Mountains and Carolinas. and to Road Atlanta races .
hows this, average mpg on hiway, 32-34mpg many times, city 24-26mpg , in a Kool Caddy sedan, whats more to want.
mine didnt have that conv. top, its an era thing, popular in 80s.
different folks different strokes!
My 6yo daughter thinks these are cool. We used to live near where a two-toned blue and gray one was stationed, and she always said that must be Cruella DeVil's car. :)
I like the looks of a stock one without the grille, roof, and rear tire carrier treatment of the one in the ad.
Yikes!!!!! all of 135 horsepower?
I sort of like these because they are so different compared to today's Caddys. But Ford got it so much better with the nearly identical Fox-based Lincoln Continental. And with the Lincoln you got RWD and the whole boatload of aftermarket parts that could bolt on to a contemporary Mustang.
Considering what $2K buys on the used car market, nowadays, not all that bad if you want a "rolling project car" that may or may not get you from point a to point b.
