The pads are not too bad but if you have to change the rotors plan on taking some time with it. On each side of the car there are something like 8 bolts holding the 2 halfs of the axle together and the rotor. I ended up cutting off the heads of all 16 bolts in order to get them out. There was so much torque on the bolts I broke 2 homemade tools one of the guys in the Alfa club made and had to go at them with my Dremel. Fun stuff.

To get the rotors out of my Alfetta, I had to get a special tool. Well, the tool was ordinary, but the source was SnapOn. It was the only one who had a thin enough closed end that I could get it on. Then I could use a second box wrench for extra leverage.

Somehow, my mechanic found a place to get the u-jointed sockets so that he uses an impact wrench.

Getting back on path- I had a Milano for 6 months. It was supposed to replace our 164 while we waited for a new Alfa. Reality bit, 164 never sold, but the Milano did. My wife did love to drive it, except for the clutch was sticky (lever broke on the next guy) and the shifter was, well.... And the hoses. I think the original owner thought Don Johnson's hair stuff would make it nice. But they were nice and brittle.

Really nice driving car, for sure.

The brakes are not that bad to work on. They are nice to drive, but I'm pretty tired of having one for my only car. If you get one make sure you like it, because the market for them is pretty much nothing unless its a nice 3.0 one.

waiting on income tax before i can get anything... don't even have any w2s yet so its not likely... but for $800 or less if it ran as good as the cellphone pics look i'd snag it if i had$ $$

The Milano is an excellent car.

All it really needs is some sticky tires and a pair of turbos :)
