DDed a '87 GT for a while. Bought w/ a bad motor, put in 20K mile JY engine and new clutch. Even had a bolt-in cage. Fun car there.

Haven't seen one in years.

That one looks a little rough tho.

Crap ! ! Do I ever want that car ! ! ! !

To far from me to make the purchase viable, but WOW, what a cool vintage ride it would be, and could pretty much be made to run forever.

Too bad !

Funny how time changes views of things... I though these were junk when new... But I think it is kinda of cool/interesting now...

Would that engine fit in an early-'80s Fiesta?

I'm glad this isn't local. I even have an '86 EXP Sport Coupe parts car that could donate some bits if needed.

Oh, ABSOLUTELY ! ! I honestly loathed this kind of car back when new, to much bling and wing, not a real hot hatch at all. Now, I'm all over this thing ! Just a perfect balance of add-on and built in, simplicity and a nice aggressive style to it, kind of Euro-Rally. And with today's tech, it can easily be built up into a serious Street Sweeper.

Plus, it's a Ford. My brand new favorite marque all over again. Were it just a state away, it would already be in the driveway and up on jack stands having bigger brakes and coil-overs installed . . . along with the asymmetrical grill.
