Yes, this is mine. I just bought this, and well, it is more project than I want. It is located in my driveway in Raleigh, NC.
The car is beat. It doesn't run. It needs paint. There are dents. The interior is ragged. It is a good candidate for a LeMons car, maybe even for the IOE. There are 254k miles on the odometer. Hell, it might need everything at this point in time.
It does have the T5 and rear disk conversion already done. There is a spare Volvo 240 head and a spare differential. I also picked up a set of 16" wheels from the latest generation Cougar which should bolt right on.
I will take some pictures soon.
I paid $500. I'd like that back.

I thought Merkur's had a T-9?
This one has a T-5 swap done, apparently. (no sarcasm, I didn't do the swap, but it was advertised that way and it looked like a t-5 to me, but I'm not an expert).

Ah... Bummer. If it had a T-9 it would be worth more to me (Spitfire conversion).
I'll take another look. The weather has been crappy. Once it isn't wet and cold, I'll get pictures up.
I'd like some pics when you get them
Very very interested pics please
Very interested in pictures as well please.
It will most likely be this weekend before I get pictures. I will get them rain or shine though.
I thought those came with rear discs, too? shows you what I know. always thought these cars were badass. there aren't many around but I think a few people are preserving/restoring/beating the E36 M3 out of these still. and that makes me happy.

That is probably the worst looking Merkur interior I've ever seen
Totally worth your asking price though.
Oh, it is beat, I no qualms about calling it that. I was thinking it would make a great Challenge car, but I simply don't have the time to work on project cars. I'm spending enough time on the cars I plan on driving on a regular basis.
The Volkswagen visible in some of the Merkur pictures, for example.
As it so happens, I have an Xr4ti with a pretty clean interior that I could be persuaded to part with if someone picks this up with restoration in mind. (Plan is to turn the one I've got into a track car, so won't be needing OEM seats and such)
It does look like General Grievous.
Update: If not gone by sometime in March, I'll part it out. I don't want that hassle, but the RX-8 is screaming for items.

its not really that bad... idk... I see missing headlight buckets, faded paint, and looks like wolverine hulked out inside the interior.. If the important bits are ok, I don't see much body damage or (the merkur killed around here, from what I've seen), rust.
This might just be sold to a fellow GRMer.
