I have a 1994 Mazda protege that has been set up for rally cross. I am asking $500 for the car and an additional $150 for the race wheels and tires. I am negotiable on the price, the vehicle is currently registered and road worthy. It does need a few things but I feel the price reflects the work needing to be done.

The idea was to eventually have some sort of cage in there with proper anchors so the temporary placement became more and more permanent as interest fell off.

OP, do you still have the rest of the interior?
How was the suspension upgraded?
Interior is long gone. The suspension is kyb gr-2's on all four corners for a 2003 escort and the springs off a 2002 auto escort. Gives the car about 1.5-2" lift over stock and the alignment had it turning in really well and keeps the rear a touch loose.
What are you doing with the Cervelo in that pic?
If this isn't gone by the time I get home from training, I am going to go look at it.

Removing sweat corroded headset spacers...with a rotozip. Eye protection was required.
Ah. Some of those top cap plugs actually bulge out and prevent the spacers from coming off unless you loosen it, but as most Cervelos have the glue-in plug, that probably wasn't the issue.
If you deal with many triathletes you'll know how they keep their bikes, they only service them when they are way past due. That aero position puts all of their sweat right into the headset and they don't think to rinse it, clean it, or care for it.

Hey, don't lump us all together. Some of us know how to properly maintain a bike, and have bike handling skills to boot!

I actually won $100 from them this year. Had I been faster, and not a ton faster even, it would have been $200. Friend won $400 in his Subie. The sport is flush with cash!

Fair enough and sorry to make a generalized statement regarding triathletes. Many of the triathletes I work with do not care for their bikes, many customers do the same, not all but some. I assume you do more than just triathlons since you made mention to bike handling

I still have it and would rather not sell it to tony as a daily driver or to freeman to hold him over after his pathfinder overheated. I don't need to sell it but I want to see it raced again.
A week in California made me come to my senses. I have to sell the Brokeswagen and get the RX-8 sorted out before I get another car.
If it is still around in a month or so, I'll be surprised, but interested again.
