MERKUR Enthusiasts Only: NO SCRAPPERS - $200 (Midland)

1986 Merkur XR4Ti parts car. NO engine or transmission (transmission was blown, and we put the engine in another car). Body: paint faded, but solid and strait except for one dinged front fender, good glass, taillights, spoiler, wheels (with keyed center caps), etc. Interior: dash is cracked up, carpet is nasty, seats are in good shape though, instruments, switches, wiring are intact. Have title, could be a project car to fix, or doner car for your Merkur. To see it, or buy it, PLEASE CALL AFTER 2 pm (989)859-7872 and talk to my dad Ed, it is at his house and he will handle the sale. General questions e-mail or call Jon (989)225-2939 and I will answer them as best as I remember. PLEASE, NO SCRAPPERS! I want to sell to someone who can use the parts, I could scrap it myself.... Thanks!

A 2.3T could be had for cheap too......this thing could easily be built for challenge money.

No sunroof = rockers probably aren't rusty.

There seems to be a strong correlation between rust and sunroof. The sunroof drains go into the plastic cladding.

Looking like it's been parked on grass for a few years does not bode well, however.

Begging for a 3.9l V8/5L55 swap from a T-bird/LS.

In Michigan = you're probably wrong (of course, I've found that "rusty" is a very relative term)

I know a 5.0 goes in easily. I've seen one running around Denver. Could be had at a junk yard. Hummm.
