so my 3 year old is sitting next to me crying because i told him i'm selling the subaru, because he loves it. probably because it's blue and he sits in it in the garage and pretends to drive.
no engine/trans/front axles. only front brakes hooked up. firewall/floor hump hacked out, hvac destroyed, no console. spare tire well cut out and replaced with aluminum flat trunk floor. rusty quarter lips. best used for parts or put something in it and be RWD(like it is now, with a 350 chevy). i am yanking drivetrain for chevelle. driveshaft included that would mate rear to any 4L60/700r4/t5/t56. no radiator/abs pump either. hood and scoop cut for air cleaner but with an uncut scoop the hood would look normal from the top. consider dash harness junk, as PO who did the "swap" went sawzall happy, and cut out stuff without thinking first. like cutting the OBD connector off with sawzall.
the good:
decent seats/door panels.
good passenger side doors, driver's door has dent below lowest body line..
front lip spoiler not bad.
carbon fiber decklid in very good shape, no spoiler holes.
factory fuel tank and pump work.
turn key on, stuff works. all power windows work.
gauge cluster good.
all glass good.
still has factory ECM.
lowered so has some drop springs.
18" konig wheels(crap tires, some rash).
Clear title in my name. i gather someone wanting to wrx suspension swap a forester would like this car, or someone who wants to throw a stand alone drivetrain in it and go mad tyte dorifto yo! i don't give a crap what you do with it. show me $1200(obo?), i'll pull the engine, and you can come get the car afterward.
How much with the current drivetrain?

depends on how much one wants. 2k with no fuel delivery or radiator(havent put it in yet) to keep under $2015, add 300 for electromotive injection(cause i want to use it on my belair), 2600 total with everything i bought for it. that would add the new aluminum radiator with chevy sided inlet/outlet to match engine, some brake lines and fittings, new 2ga front to rear battery cable, new kill switch, 4 new rotors and pads for all around, a couple extra interior bits, a new stainless ebay exhaust, and a set of stock 16" wheels, and an 80 foot roll of 8mm packard spark plug wire. overall condition of trans unknown, i drove it off my trailer, around the yard, and into the garage with no slips. PO said it would not move, fluid was low, i added when i got it home and it moves fine now.
it currently starts, but needs new plug wires made as there are known bad ones on it to get it running for testing my crank trigger. it will need tuned but tuning cable wired from ECM to interior, and software available to download free. when it was carbed it ran excellent with no noises, and a nice lope from aftermarket cam. engine supposedly has 3k on rebuild but no documentation so i wouldn't sell it as more than a good running cammed 350. it has a lokar throttle cable that needs put together correctly at the motor end, but there is enough slack to cut the end off and do it right.
it's priced so that one could buy the car sub 2015, pick extras(like not the EFI and take the rest for a total of 2300), sell the carbon fiber trunk and a set of wheels, and still be sub 2015. i would love it to end up at the challenge. i still intend to go, but i need to find something that needs a bit less fab work to get there as my car time has been compromised by adding second kid to the mix 5 months ago.
too much? not enough? somebody make it go away.

in the interest of make it go the eff away, car with drivetrain, no EFI, $1500. bolt on carb, throw PO's exhaust, cap/wires back on, plumb radiator and hook up alternator and go.
trying to jumpstart a side venture, which includes make my wife less pissed that the chevelle is sitting outside covered in snow/ice right now instead of inside getting 454'd

if you promise to $2015 it and let me drive it around the lot i'll throw in the shiny new aluminum radiator and the stock wheels.
due to recent events and me needing to make room
$2015 for EVERYTHING as it sits INCLUDING EFI, car will crank and start with good battery but needs new plug wires made so it can be hooked up to laptop and tuned. serial cable hard wired to cabin.
this includes new radiator, exhaust, spare oem wheels, 80' roll of new 8mm plug wire, i'll even throw in some stainless flex radiator hoses so you don't get budget hit. and there are 4 new rotors/pads sitting in a box that can go too. everything i have for the car can go, including a 3x5 sheet of steel to make the trans hump in the firewall. clear title, keys, etc.
sold car on CL less engine/trans/radiator/efi/exhaust for $900
So much want but so far away.
