!972 BMW Bavaria for sale. This is a classic and a real head turner. It is a dark blue in color, has a stick shift, and for someone who knows how to work on BMW's would make a fine car. I am selling it for my son at college who does not work on cars and this needs some Fine tuning. At present , the rpms do not go above 2200 or so . Befor this started - the engine ran very strong and it was a dependable car. We would like to sell this before the snow flies so make an offer on this pretty rare car. Also , the drivers side window is broken and fitted with plastic now. He paid $1500 for it two years ago and it's time to move on although he loves the car. Call Dan at 616-283-1241 for info
Damn, that's local to me too. If only I didn't hate working on cars...
hey another west michigan GRMr
We REALLY need a get together in Lansing for both sides of the state.
This is a twin carb car. With points. So my bet is that it needs a set of points. About 6 bucks. Or 75 if you want to convert it to Pertronix.
Or it could be carb linkage is out or wack and only one carb is working under throttle. To bad im in FL.. I would be interested. I already have a rust free one with a sun bleached interior..

ooohhhh the car is in Holland, Michigan and my son is at Hope College in Holland..............and his room mates keep telling him he needs to have a car on campus........(except he is a wuss with stick shift)..........(and he can't adjust points very well)..............
Well they are the Big 2.8 .. 3.0L BMW 6 cyl the same that were in the 5 series. Actually 1/2 the parts from a 5 series will fin on a E3. - Bavaria - 2800. all the same. So parts are pretty easy to get. They are nice riding cars. AC doest work that well. Heat does though..
Look for rust in the rear trunk around the wheel wells where the shocks mount. And the Rockers. Rust around the Gas pedal is common and easy to fix.
I almost bought one of these while I was in HS. Cool cars.
I really have to stop thinking about this car.
Well John, the lakeshore is wonderful this time of year
Dan -
