Wouldn't most/all of the mechanicals be the same as the 124 spyder?

I want it.

124 Sport Coupes are good fun and getting harder to find. As with any Fiat rust will be your primary issue. Take a good long look under the car as it is a unibody and any rust on the subframes can really weaken the chassis. Almost all of the mechanical parts cross to the Spyders but the interior pieces are unique.

With a high revving motor, skinny tires and no power anything these cars are a blast to drive. Do it!!

Me too.

Wonder if we can get someone up there (Steve?) to look at it for us. I don't think it will last long.

It's in my hood. I can check it out for anyone. I actually may know exactly where it's sitting, too.

That would be great. The biggest thing -as some have said- is the rust.

thanks, Stan

My concern would be that the photos in the posting seem to be copies of film/paper, old photos.
I bet they laid down the paper and then used a phone to take a picture of the paper.

That leads me to believe that the car in not currently in the same shape/condition as the photo may imply.
In storage since 1982. I bet the photos are from 1982. Well, not exactly '82, there is an '86 Chevy Berretta in the photo. The ad say indoor stored but these photos sure imply outdoor storage for some time.
Does the right front wheel look pushed back in the photo?

It doesn't look bent to me, but I see quite a bit of rust even in those pics. If you want a huge rust repair project, one of the $3k Alfa gtvs that come up sometimes would at least be worth something when its done.

I'll give them a call and see if I can go check it out/take pictures.

Folks talk about some really sorry cars in the '70s, but what happened to the 124 Coupe in it's "transformation" from the 1960s to the 1970s models is a crying shame.....could an Italian designer really have been involved in this travesty?

1973 was the year it all went wrong. The grille treatment was gawdawful. I was cool with the dual headlamp upgrade in 1970; made it look more modern. But that cluster of ill fitting bumpers and grille for '73-'75 was putrid.

On the upside, the bumper height rear deck opening they went to that same year was a joy for every day use. The mega high sill on the original made using the trunk a PITA.
