Yeah. Bit of a stretch there. Point being: For $500 how could you lose!? I don't get you guys sometimes.

I don't get me sometimes too.
If I wasn't going in a different direction I'd be planning a road trip.

I've owned a half dozen of those cars, enough to know that they can look great on the outside and be total drek underneath. The only way a $500 CRX is still for sale is if that's what it is. Not worth me driving 2 hours to look at a pile of rust.

I've owned at least a bakers dozen. I'd still grab it sight-unseen. YMMV.
In reply to poopshovel:
Then why haven't you? I don't have time to part out cars. I only want them if they are viable running vehicles. If that CRX fit into that category it would be sold already. YMMV
ps - How many OHIO CRX's have you owned?

I'm going to go ahead and assume you're either joking, retarded, or are just trying to get me whipped into a frenzy. Good luck with that.
1, I repeat, one picture
25+ year old Japanese Ohio car
Lost of plastic to hide the rust
$500 price to good to be true
Seller of questionable honesty
A minimum of 2 hours away for me and I'm not interested in parting out a car to make a couple hundred bucks.
Yeah, I'm retarded for being skeptical, or did you mean that you really have owned an Ohio CRX or two?

I don't think it requires much luck.

Probably true. As long as you have time you want to spend that way, it's worth almost that much in scrap at most of the salvage yards I frequent these days.
How you could lose is some of us make more than $8.00 an hour so parting out a car to make a couple hundred bucks is a waste of time.
I love CRXes but have owned a couple that looked just this good but the seat belts were literally coming out of the floor.

If it takes you more than 4 hours to have the fenders, rockers, headlights, tail lights, panel between the lights, hatch, header panel, glass, engine & trans, bumpers, seats, complete doors, and knuckle/hub assemblies removed, you lose at life. Aside from the seats and suspension, none of these things should be an issue when it comes to rust. Grab your 10, 12, 14 and 17mm sockets and go to town.
My brother just happens to be in the area for business today/tomorrow. Going to try to find time to take a look. And yes, he and I both make a berkeleyton more than $8/hour.
