Already saw it this morning, I work less than 5 miles from there. BUT I don't have 850 to spend. Probably just needs a fuel pump relay. And if it is a hardtop, HOLY berkeley
If you don't buy it I might find a way to scrape together the $$, even though I don't know much about rotaries. It's always good to learn something new, right?
I am interested if you guys all pass.
This has 4 bolt wheels. That means that the brakes are the crappier version. It probably does not have an LSD either.
In reply to Gearheadotaku:
can you confirm if its hard top or not? Also if you need an expert to come look at it with I would be more than willing.

I know. I have all the parts to convert in my garage. I was trying to scare people off...
Seller has not responded to my e-mail
Since there is a map in the ad, I'm tempted to knock on the door Saturday!

Based on whats going outside and that photo, I don't think the photo in the ad is recent and I doubt it is kept outside. Probably wants to get rid of it cheap so they can park in the garage now that its around freezing outside and windy/snowy.
Funny, I emailed asking if it had a sunroof or not and got a reply in about 5 minutes. Said, "There's like an indent where there might be a removable sunroof but I'm not sure." So, not actually a hardtop then.
I'm thinking I'll set up a time to go look at it, if only to report back here. Or maybe I could put whoever is first in line in touch with the owner or something.
I think some emails must be just going to his spam or something because I was emailing him just last night and he replied right away. Said I could come check it out tomorrow any time before 4. I can get his phone number and pass it on to any interested parties.
Check compression before anything else. A rotary engine is expensive to replace and basically non-rebuildable. I had a '86 RX7 and ran it for year before donating the shell to a friend. '86 RX7's came with an aluminum hood so it's the one to have. LSD's were not available for the NA diff until '90 when it came on the GTU edition (very rare). The smaller brakes are not an issue at all. Overall it's a fun car on track but keeping it cool is the biggest problem.
