It's basically the previous generation Swift, I believe. In '89 (IIRC) when they redesigned it, they changed the Suzuki version's name to the Swift and the Chevy version to the Geo Metro.
It was called the Chevy Sprint here in the states. Suzuki never imported that. My guess is someone did a JDM (y0!) rebadge of a Chevy Sprint Turbo.
They sold those in hawaii and a very limited number in the states for a test run. Could be legit.
I always wanted one of these.
