234k? E36 M3 my challenge block has 235k on it, and my spare has 209. Both have crosshatching clear across the cylinders. They're barely in at that kind of mileage. AFAIK, there isn't really any major fatal issues. I bought mine for 400 bucks and drove it home. Swank Force One, Danxsr2 and JamesMcD know more than I do. But at 1200 bucks, that clean with that motor, as long as it isn't puking fluid, I'd be all over it. The only REAL bummer is the PGT is heavier than the mx6 GT.
I just purchased and shipped across the country an F2T car which has 236k on it. There's a guy at my work who thinks I'm the dumbest guy on the planet for doing that ("you bought a 1988 car you've never seen with 236k on it for how much??"), but mileage is a non-issue on these as long as they get basic maintenance.
The nice thing about modding these engines with high miles on them is that if something bad happens you'll hardly feel bad at all; it's not like you just spent $4k on a hi-zoot engine build and 'sploded it the week afterwards. You can just get another one for a few hundred dollars (or sometimes free) and try again.

FTFY

Seems exceptionally straight for a PGT of that vintage, though.

Not for that price. That is INSANELY clean, but all i'd want to do is trash it (read do stupid things to make it go faster) and would not do so at that price.
I saw that the first time it was on CL a couple months ago. At least, I think it's the same car. Dunno if this is the same guy selling it or the new owner re-selling. It's out of my price range and I have too many cars anyhow.
I can honestly say that if I had the money, I'd give that a long hard look. If my car is as good at it is at 210k miles, this thing would last me a good decade or more.
And there's nothing like a tight virgin chassis to violate.

I just realized that I have a GC coupe and sedan, and a GD coupe and sedan. Too many cars to keep track of!

what city/state craigslist did you see it in?
Its hard to tell but looks like it might have a paper front plate and an in transit hanging in the back window. Its listed in the Lincoln Nebraska craiglist and he listed a Nebraska phone number but Nebraska only does "in-transit" stickers taped to the rear window, not paper plates.
I thought it was the same car because the link was on the Cincinnati CL and the previous time I saw it, it was in some other city in OH. Also, same miles IIRC.
