NMNA.
Another sweet car I wish I had time for. I own too many Subaru RS's as it is though.

"This 1990 Subaru Loyale is a great car. I bought this from the original owner 4 years ago. It is in good shape considering the year model. If you want reliable transportation and a cheap gas mileage vehicle than this car is for you. A few minor appearance hiccups but all in all this is a fantastic ride for the Subaru lover. New Tires and a fairly new battery. 60/40 fold flat seat for great cargo space... Serviced regularly and maintained as needed. Asking $1,000, serious inquiries only please. Stick-Shift and 193000 miles."

I used to have one of these!
Very glad I bought that GTI. I miss that car in a nostalgic way, but even a base model 1.8 Impreza is a better car that rusts less.
Is it safe to assume that's the NA model?

Yes, consider this the detuned grand pa to the WRX. The RX, which was made from 85-89 was the turbo one.

You are semi wrong, the Loyale RS was available turbo. I owned one. It is the exact same car as an RX but could be had turboless, they just changed the designation when the L-series became the Loyale.

Interesting, everything I had read about them was that the EA82T was not available after the Loyale name change over. IIRC, the Subaru parts program doesn't list it being available. Did it have the 5spd dual range ft4wd with diff lock too?
It had a dual range FT4WD trans, IIRC. The car was so rusty it was only driven a few times before we parted it. From what we could gather it was pretty much a leftover 89 RX with different stickers. 1990 was the only year you could get a factory Loyale turbo, I do know that. Parts program does list a 1990 turbo.
I would be interested to see under the hood of the one in the ad.

Yeah, me too. I really should have called about it, if nothing else to just look at it. I had 5 RX's at one point and have had 8 come through my hands. Still have two, one has a 13b in it through.
